One person has died following a single motorcycle crash in Central Hawke's Bay this afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene of the crash on State Highway 50, police say.
The crash occurred around 2.15pm.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The road is currently closed, and diversions are in place at Ashcott Rd and the village of Ongaonga for several hours.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
The serious crash unit are investigating.
