A person has died after being struck by a vehicle in Waikato earlier today.
The incident happened on the corner of Great South Rd and Newcastle St in Ngāruawāhia, police said this afternoon.
"Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time", police wrote in a statement.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are underway and further information will be released proactively when it is available."
