2 people killed following 2-vehicle crash in Northland

Two people have died following a two-vehicle crash in Northland's Wheki Valley this evening.

Police say emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 14, near the intersection of Otuhi Rd, around 6pm.

Two people died at the scene.

The road remains closed while emergency services work at the scene.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
