The leaders of National, ACT and New Zealand First will be in Wellington tomorrow, as coalition talks drag into a second week.
Negotiations were being thrashed out behind closed doors today with staff but not leaders.
1News understand the three leaders have not been in the same room yet.
It comes as Prime Minister-Elect Christopher Luxon is looking increasingly unlikely to form a government in time for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum this week.
A government would need to be together by Wednesday for Luxon to attend the international forum in San Francisco, which will be attended by the likes of US president Joe Biden and Chinese president Xi Jinping.
Insiders said while the chances of going to APEC are slim, if a deal is done tomorrow a cabinet, or partial cabinet, could be sworn in urgently if political parties can convince Governor-General Cindy Kiro they can form a government and have some form of agreement.
Luxon told Breakfast this morning that he'd been in contact with "all parties" over the weekend.
"We're making good progress," Luxon said. "This week's an important week, we want to bring it home and get the job done.
"It's important that I focus on that, that's the must-do job. I think that's why it's unlikely I'll head out to APEC on Wednesday evening.
"I'd sooner be here, getting the job done, forming a strong government."
However, there is hope on the horizon as Peters, Luxon and Seymour will meet in Wellington on Tuesday. (Source: 1News)
But if he could be there, he would be, Luxon said.
"I'd love to go, don't get me wrong," he said. "I'd love to go, because I do want to signal that New Zealand is open for business and I do want to be able to build rapport and relationships with those key world leaders.
"But actually, there'll be another APEC and there's other ways in which I can go about doing that."
The current caretaker government arrangements have been extended until a new Government is formed.
