Mini-Budget: Govt reveals when Kiwis will get tax cuts

It's been a busy Wednesday for the Government as PM Christopher Luxon met his Australian counterpart on his first official overseas trip. It came as Finance Minister Nicola Willis unveiled her much-anticipated "mini-Budget".

What you need to know

Willis says the tax cuts promised by the Government will be announced in the Budget next year, whilst the Finance Minister's mini-Budget has confirmed a re-prioritisation of $7.4 billion from different government initiatives and programmes.
Luxon has met with Anthony Albanese in Sydney for a one-day meeting on his first official visit to the country.
The PM and Willis have been downplaying the "mini-Budget" over the past several weeks — most recently dubbing it the "mini, mini, mini-Budget."
