As Wayde Egan enters his fourth season with the Warriors this year he’s been joined by his younger brother Tallan.
Wayde’s been an integral part of the Warriors spine, and has become a fan favourite at Mount Smart. He's also becoming accustomed to the Kiwi way of life.
“I consider it home now. I’ve been here for 18 months, it’s really nice the weather turned it on,” Egan told 1News.
Auckland feels more like home now too, with his younger brother Tallan signing with the Warriors under-19 SG ball side.
“Having him over here it’s a bit buzzy, he went to the open trial in October he played pretty well and got invited back,” Wayde said.
“I used to think when I was little, Wayde playing NRL, I always looked up to him, to go live with him and even play with him and get the opportunity is unreal," Tallan told 1News.

The Egans grew up in rural New South Wales, in the Penrith Panthers area. Now both wear the Warriors colours.
“It’s crazy. I didn’t think I’d be living in a city. I just graduated high school, I was playing country footy in Australia at the start of the year," Tallan said.
As for Wayde, now used to the New Zealand surroundings having made Auckland his home, could a Kiwis berth be on the horizon?
“Yeah maybe mate I haven’t thought about it too much. Who knows. If I’m here for a few more years you could never say no to those sort of things,” Wayde said.
