Kiwi tennis player Lulu Sun has stunned world number eight Qinwen Zheng of China in the first round at Wimbledon overnight.
Sun, ranked at 123, dropped the first set but fought back to win 4-6 6-2 6-4 in a touch under two hours on court.
Sun was born in Te Anau but grew up in Switzerland. She switched allegiances to New Zealand earlier this year.
Her victory was the first by a Kiwi woman in the main draw of a Grand Slam since Marina Erakovic in 2016.
The 23-year-old will play fellow qualifier Yulia Starodubtseva in the second round.
