After a month of thrilling group stage and knockout matches, the European Championship has arrived at its final.
Spain was the first to advance after beating France 2-1 in Munich on Wednesday morning, with 16-year-old Lamine Yamal becoming the youngest ever scorer in Euros history.
England reached the final on Thursday after substitute Ollie Watkins struck a last-minute goal in the 91st minute of the semifinal against the Netherlands.
King Charles III congratulated the team on their victory – but said he hoped England would lift the trophy tomorrow morning "before the need for any last minute wonder-goals or another penalties drama".
Spain was the only team to win all their games in the group stage with victories over Croatia, Albania, and defending champions Italy.
It has won the tournament three times, including back-to-back trophies in 2008 and 2012.
England finished first in its group after a win against Serbia and draws against Denmark and Slovenia.
It has never won the European Championship and its only major title is the 1966 World Cup.
The match at Berlin's Olympic Stadium kicks off at 7am NZ time tomorrow and will be live and free on TVNZ+ and Duke.
