Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has swung the axe and named a new-look side for the second Test against the All Blacks in Wellington on Saturday.
Jasper Wiese returns at No.8 after returning from a four-match suspension for a headbutt against Italy in July.
Elsewhere, last weekend's captain Jesse Kriel has been dropped completely as part of seven changes to the team that lost 24-17 to the All Blacks at Eden Park.
Head coach Erasmus has also dropped first-five Handre Pollard and midfielder Damian de Allende.
Cobus Reinach and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu pair up in the inside backs, Damian Willemse and Canan Moodie in the midfield, Ethan Hooker and Cheslin Kolbe on the wings, and Aphelele Fassi at fullback, in a team that will be led by regular captain Siya Kolisi.
Up front, Kolisi returns to flanker and will partner Pieter-Steph du Toit in the loose, while No 8 Wiese will return to the field for the first time since facing Italy.
Veteran lock Eben Etzebeth has been dropped, with Lood de Jager packing down next to Ruan Nortje.
Erasmus stuck with the same front row of props Ox Nche and Thomas du Toit, and hooker Malcolm Marx.
The Boks have returned to their habit of naming their side early in the week after Erasmus named his first-Test team last Thursday, as is more traditional.
There is little surprise that he has been moved to change his team - Erasmus was clearly frustrated with some of his players after the match, blaming them for making "stupid mistakes".
All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson today said the Boks naming their team so early in the week would not make any difference to his team's selections.
