'Devastated': Mum of children killed in Sanson house fire speaks out
The mother who lost three children in a Manawatū house fire has broken her silence, saying "my babies were my absolute world".
August, 7, Hugo, 5, and Goldie, 1, were killed in the November 15 fire, alongside their father Dean Field. Police said the fire and deaths of the children were being treated as a homicide.
A statement issued by mother Chelsey Field said the tragedy had left her "heartbroken and devastated".
Plane in deadly UPS crash had cracks in engine mount, investigators say
The preliminary report for the UPS plane crash which killed 14 people has pointed to evidence of cracks in the left wing’s engine mount.
Three people were aboard when the plane crashed as it took off for Honolulu from UPS Worldport at Louisville’s Muhammad Ali International Airport earlier this month.
The crash and fire destroyed the plane and spread to nearby businesses in Louisville, Kentucky.
Kiwi killer investigated four years ago on rape allegations
Convicted killer Nathan Boulter was investigated four years ago over an allegation he raped a 15-year-old girl when he was 14.
He was spoken to while serving time in an Otago prison where he denied any wrongdoing.
Boulter - who had a long history of stalking and assaulting ex-partners - pleaded guilty last week to murdering a woman in Parklands, Christchurch, on July 23.

ONE DOLLAR PLUNGE
The New Zealand dollar has fallen to 13-year lows against a broad range of currencies.
The Kiwi has fallen about 1% in the past two days to a seven-month low against a stronger US dollar, at just below 56 US cents.
