Child dies in Christchurch house fire, six people injured
A child has died and six other people have been injured, one critically, after a fire ripped through a home in Christchurch last night.
Emergency services were called to Whitehall St in Mairehau at around 8.25pm on Thursday.
"Sadly, a child died at the scene," police said.
