The FIFA World Cup has now been whittled down to its final four teams.

The semifinals take place on Wednesday and Thursday, with the third place playoff on Sunday and the final on Monday, July 20.

This year's 48-team tournament featured a new round of 32 knockout stage before the traditional round of 16, where several heavyweight nations saw their World Cup campaigns come to an end.

Then in the quarterfinals, the world's top four ranked nations - France, Spain, England and Argentina - all came through.

Here’s the fixtures for the final four matches (all times NZT).
