Coach Webster recommits to Warriors for another four years

Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.

Andrew Webster has re-signed as head coach of the Warriors until the end of the 2032 NRL season.

Webster's new four-year deal will make the now 44-year-old the longest serving head coach of the club (10 seasons), overtaking Ivan Clearly's six seasons which finished in 2011.

The agreement comes as Webster stands on the brink of two 100-game milestones.

This Saturday's match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs will be his 100th game overall as a head coach including two matches in an interim capacity with the Wests Tigers in 2017.

And Webster will become the second coach after Cleary to guide the Warriors in 100 games when the club host the Manly Sea Eagles at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday, September 5.

“It’s humbling to be able to secure my future here for this long,” Webster, an Australian, said.

“I’m super proud every game I get to be a head coach in the NRL. It’s a dream and to do it with this club and these players is extra special.

“I love this club, I have the greatest belief in what we can achieve and I’m excited knowing I’m going to be here until 2032. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity.”

The Warriors stand in third place on the table with three rounds remaining in the regular season.
